About Me:
My name is Kristi Michelle Flemig, but I use my middle name in most things. I am passionate about all of the arts, but I have a keen interest in writing. My journey began in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the 24th of August, 1977. I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. As many of a young age, in a time without many video games, or handheld electronics, I had a vivid imagination, which ignited my curiosity and shaped my love of writing.
Education:
After graduating from Norman High school in 1996, I pursued my education at Moore-Norman Vo-Tech where I studied to be a paramedic, but after a while I realized that it was not the direction that I should go. After several years of various office, child care, and call center jobs, I earned my Associates of Science in Criminal Justice Degree from University of Phoenix in 2014. I transferred to the University of Oklahoma for my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree (BSCJ). Following a medical leave of absence from OU, I transferred to the Pennsylvania State University. Penn State has a Masters of Homeland Security, Information Security Forensics degree program that I want to go into following my BSCJ. During my academic journey, I actively participated in the marching, concert, and jazz bands, choir, arts and science clubs, and the Delta Gamma Chi sorority that helped me develop essential skills such as networking, teamwork, event planning and organization, creativity, leadership and communication skills, cultural awareness, and philanthropy.
Professional Experience:
My professional career started at a childcare center where I was the afternoon teacher in the 3-year-old class. This experience paved the way for me to explore new opportunities and expand my horizons to office management, case management, customer service, juvenile detention officer, campus mail clerk, and museum security. Currently, I am doing some freelance transcription and started writing articles for a couple online media services, while I develop my own freelance service, offering some visual arts such as printable documents like word games, planners, worksheets, etc. I may offer some drawn and painted items that I had done in the past.
Passions and Interests:
Beyond my professional life, I am deeply passionate about the arts. Whether it's music, drawing, painting, crafts, or writing, I find solace and inspiration in pursuing these interests. Additionally, I support the National Wildlife Federation with Delta Gamma Chi, the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of many friends and family who were impacted in some way by cancer. I also actively contribute my knowledge in many subjects of interest.
Personal Traits:
I am known for being friendly, determined, creative, dependable, and I approach challenges with enthusiasm and determination. I believe in continuous learning and embrace new opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
Future Goals:
Looking ahead, my professional goal is working to fight cybercrime. My personal goal is becoming a successful writer. I am excited for the possibilities and look forward to making a difference in the future of technology.
